Patricia Ann Turkovich “Trish” of Thousand Oaks, California passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at 62 years of age after an aggressive but courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. She was born in Texas City, Texas to Richard and Lorraine Henderson on October 29, 1957. Trish had worked many years as an Elementary Education Teacher, and a Special Education Teacher. She found joy during her service to the Lord as a Church Ministry leader. Trish gave much of her time working with the poor and going on mission trips. She truly had a servants’ heart, and this showed through her mission work in Sierra Leone, numerous mission trips to Haiti, as well as the Dominican Republic. Trish loved the un-loveable. She celebrated the simple things in life and took great pleasure in making others happy. Trish enjoyed going to the beach, ice cold sweet tea, trips to the Dollar Tree, and above all she cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Henderson and sister Mary Cae Henderson. Left to cherish her memory and the time they had with her are her daughter Jessica Pielsticker (Jeff Barker) of Dallas, Texas; daughter Angela Philpott (Brian) of Thousand Oaks, California; brother Rick Henderson of St. Albans, West Virginia; brother John Henderson of Boyton Beach, Florida; sister Joan Isble (Mike) of Scott Depot, West Virginia; sister Anne Siegle (Joe) of Silver Spring, Maryland; brother Joe Henderson (Tammy) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother Mike Henderson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and 5 beloved grandchildren Cruz, Grey, Wells, Hutch, Landon as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held 10:00am, Monday, June 15, 2020 at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave. in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Trish’s favorite mission work in Sierra Leone, an orphanage run by Bambay Saweneh, which can be done by clicking here

Matthew 7:24 - 25 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
My beautiful sister, you built your house on the Rock, our Lord Jesus Christ. You fought your battle with humility, trust, courage, faith, perseverance and by continuing to think of others and how you could bless them. You allowed life's difficulties to shape you not define you. Your secret sauce was your love for Jesus and His joy being your strength and your trust and hope in His unfailing Word.
You nurtured day in and day out the gifts of faith and encouragement that were placed in side of you. I loved watching you shine as a pastor's wife and loving each one who walked through your church doors. I loved watching you in Sierra Leone with your living room filled with refugees whose bodies were afflicted with infirmities and you did all you could to pray for healing and get them to a clinic that might be able to help them. I loved every time you reached out to me on behalf of your friends overseas whose children or family members might be suffering with an illness. Your heart was huge - nonjudgmental and very giving - always willing to share the little you had. I am still shocked that you have gone on to glory and are in His sweet, amazing presence! Thank you for all the love you poured into my life as your younger sister! Thanks for all the love you poured into my children as their dear Aunt. What a privilege it has been to journey with you in this life. I will miss you dearly and will bless and encourage and pray for the legacy you have left behind - your beautiful daughters and grandchildren.

Blessings to Angie, Jesse, and the entire Henderson family. Aunt Trish was always such a bright light and positive spirit. Her smile, joy, and welcoming attitude shine on in our hearts.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the little time that me and my family got to know you Trish, you were a blessing sent to us from heaven. You were the most kind and big Hearted person I have met here. I wish we would get to spend more time together 🙏🏻.
