William “Bill” G. Powell, went to be with the lord at 68 years of age on the evening of Thursday, July 23, 2020. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Earnest and Irene Powell on Wednesday, February 27, 1952. Bill leaves his family and friends with a legacy of love, laughter and desire to help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, fixing anything that needed repair, and most of all spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

He leaves behind, his beloved wife of 47 years Deborah “Debbie” Powell; son Chad Powell and wife Emily; son Casey Powell and wife Stephanie; grandchildren Trevor, Emma, Amber, Sydney, Aaron, Savanah; great grandchild Joey as well as extended family such as sisters: Francis Duckworth, Sherry Hutchinson, and Kay Cole. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Earnest “June”, Douglas, Richard, and Jerry.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 28th at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home in Irving. Due to the pandemic, a face mask is required, and only 10 people are allowed inside at a time. Services will be performed graveside at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving on Wednesday, July 29th at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
