Virginia Mae Kinnan was loved and adored by many and for good reason. While any attempt to sum up who she was in appropriate fashion for an obituary will prove futile, the following words are what come to mind and will hopefully satisfy the effort. Virginia was fiercely loyal, loving, and devoted beyond what many have ever seen or experienced. These qualities were constantly on display for others to see and learn from as she served as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to those around her. Virginia loved the Lord with all her heart and was a student of the Scripture. She had the rare ability to say exactly what needed to be said, the way it needed to be said which resulted in the building up and encouragement of people she cared about. She always wore a contagious smile on her face and was happy to see those who took time to come around. Virginia was passionate about current affairs and readily stayed in touch with the political landscape. However, Virginia loved her church family more and never missed the opportunity to attend services. She really connected with her Sunday school class and had many friends there. Virginia had a second career as a crossing guard for the City of Irving where she loved on all the students as they came by before and after school. Virginia was a strong woman who possessed many skills to include canning vegetables, making salsas and delicious jams. To know Virginia was to love her and it was easy to do. She lived the life of a sacrificial servant. God had an amazing reach into our world thru Virginia and will continue to have an impact on people’s lives as we remember her and the true blessing she was. Today, this wonderful woman has been set free from her earthly bondage. As you read this, it would serve us all well to be reminded that she is with Jesus Christ and her husband William T. Kinnan who she has missed so much. There is not a better place to be.

Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband, William T. Kinnan; parents, Robert and Louise Pierce; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and great grandson, Thomas Kelly. She survived by son, Tom Kinnan and wife Reyna; son, Roy Kinnan and wife Liz; son, Robert Kinnan and wife Becky; son, Elvis Kinnan and wife Marian; daughter, Jenny Quillen and husband Stan; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

A private family graveside service for Virginia will be held Friday, April 10, 2020 at Oak Grove Memorial Park 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving TX, 75060.
