Obituary for Shanna Delynn Johnson-Wright

Shanna Delynn Johnson-Wright above all else was a very tender-hearted woman with a strong maternal instinct. She will be fondly remembered as a person who put the needs of others before her own. She was caring and fiercely passionate about alleviating the hurts of those around her. Shanna was a nurturer, and no one mattered more to her than her children. That said, Shanna also possessed an easily recognizable stubborn streak. She enjoyed time with her dogs, listening to music, traveling when given the chance, and was obsessed with mowing the lawn. Shanna had no problem saying what needed to be said, the way it needed to be said, to whomever it needed to be said. She was a strong person who advocated for vulnerability in people and embraced the differences this revealed in others. Telling Shanna what to do was NOT an option. She loaded the dishwasher better than anyone else, was a fan of the “who dun nit?” mystery shows, and never missed Dinners, Drive ins, and Dives. She couldn’t tolerate negativity or meanness instead she believed that loving others would conquer all.

Shanna is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Michael and Keith Ann Johnson; son, Cody Adam Acton. She is survived by wife, Leslie Wright; daughter, Morgan Acton; stepdaughter, Courtney Wise; sister, Treshia Irwin; grandson, Spencer Wise; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service for Shanna will be held 1:00pm Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Brown’s Memorial Chapel 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving TX, 75061.
