Obituary for Sandra Jean Franco

Sandra Jean was born March 14, 1940 in Dallas, Texas. Sandra was one of 5 daughters. Her parents were Frances and James Williams. She attended Crozier Tech and was a former Sun Oil employee.

Sandra later met her future husband at the “Fun Club” in Dallas and later married Ruben Franco on November 3, 1962 and moved to Irving, Texas.

Sandra is known at the Irving Heritage Society for helping with Valentine Tea, Christmas floats, and selling tickets to the Fish Fry each year. She also contributed her time to the Irving Police and Fire Blue Christmas, firefighters Ball, and the Fireman Pancake Breakfast each year. She was so proud of all her sons and their accomplishments in life. She loved her family with all her heart.

She also served on the Board at Irving Women’s Network and co-chaired Christmas luncheons. You always saw her with a smile on her face, greeting everyone and helping many in life. She took part in helping the Salvation Army at Christmas by donations and fundraisers.

Sandra played a big part in the Irving School Foundation and donated her time to the Stipes Elementary by cooking for appreciation luncheons. She loved to cook and serve others.

She attended church with family at the Christ Church of Irving for many years.

She is survived by husband, Ruben Franco of 58 years, 3 loving sons: Benny Franco, and wife Malinda of Irving, Nick Franco and fiancé Tracye of Irving, and Victor Franco and wife Angel of Irving, one sister, Jackie Sawyer, Grandchildren: Jarret, Dylan, Carter, Tanner, Kinnadi, Shellbi, Jaxsen, Carsen, Camryn, Maddison, Hunter, Jessica, and Taylor, four great grandchildren: River, Holden, Kendalyn, and Alex, numerous nieces and nephews, and lets not forget her 2 furry loving and passionate dogs, Remi and Rowdy.

She was truly loved by our community and will be missed by many.
