Ruth Ann Wood former resident of Irving passed away October 13, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Ruth Ann was born on Sunday, July 16, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to S T Bridges and Emma Ruth (Shaw) Bridges. She will be remembered as a loving, caring person who never met anyone she didn’t like. She cared for others and was a fantastic host sharing her home with family and friends. Ruth Ann worked in the Insurance industry in her early years as an administrator and was a faithful member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church during the 1980’s. She is preceded in death by husband Leslie Loel Wood in 1996; daughter LeAnne Fulmer in 2002; brother S T Bridges, Jr. and sister Marcelle Bridges. Left to cherish Ruth Ann’s memory are sons Leslie Wood and wife Donna of Bedford, Texas; Allen Wood of Kentucky; & Steven Wood and wife Christina of San Antonio; sister Sue Bush of McKinney; brother Jimmy Bridges and wife Betty of Corinth; grandchildren Jennifer Wood, Zachary Wood, Dale Wood, Duncan Wood, Seth Basaldua, Steven Wood, Jr., Savanah Wood, Saxon Wood, Leslie Ann Wood, Austin Wood & Andrew Wood; and one great-grandbaby on the way. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with David Runnels officiating. All are invited to a reception that will follow the memorial service around 4:00 pm at DFW Airport Marriott South 4151 Centre Port Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
