Obituary for Rosie Lanier Tigue

Rosie Lanier Tigue – left the confines of her earthly body and entered into Heaven’s gates – whole and perfect – early Tuesday morning, September 29, 2020, at 71 years of age. She was born in Marlin, TX on Saturday, October 30, 1948. She had been an Irving resident for the past 50 years.

Rosie was the rock and the backbone of her family. She loved Jesus and enjoyed singing his praises. Rosie was a strong woman of faith and strived to be more like Christ in her daily walk with him. While Rosie had many roles in her life, last being considered the First Lady of Chrome Cross Biker Church where her husband is pastor, she relished being “Momma,” and “Nana,” the most. She was known for always rooting for the underdog in almost any situation. Her children knew that better than most as she was their biggest and loudest cheerleader and constant reassuring source of unconditional love and support.

Rosie was an amazing woman with a strong spirit and even stronger faith whose strength will not be forgotten. She touched and made an unforgettable impact on anyone she knew. Rosie’s strongest desire is that all her family come to know and accept Jesus Christ as their savior so that all will be ready for that glad reunion day when the wedding feast will take place.

Rosie is preceded in death by her parents Natalie Nichols and John Ward. Brothers Winford Herring, Carl Herring, Robert Herring, Bob Lanier, and sister Jo Ann Lanier.

Left to cherish her memory: her beloved husband of 36 years (after only knowing him 7 days – true story) Gary Tigue and their children: daughter Carmen Hoffpauir and spouse Rod; son Shannon Tigue and spouse Traci; daughter Angie Garcia and spouse Medo; daughter Natalie Gause and spouse Keith; son Gary Tigue Jr. She also leaves behind sisters: Frances Runnels, Sheila Lundgren and Pauletta Barrera. Also, she leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren: Amanda, Selita, Jessica, Bud, Rod, Matthew, Rosie, Gary, Shannon, Brody, Jordan, Madelyn, Caroline, Colby, Mason, and Lucas; and several great grandchildren she was blessed with along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
