Paula Marks affectionally known as “Robin” to her friends & family passed away October 15, 2019. She was born on Monday, September 21, 1959 to Paul Hammer and Linda (McDonough) Hammer in Clarksville, Texas. Robin was blessed with a wonderful voice and loved to use it. Her friends at the Elks Lodge were very dear to her as were slot machines, documentaries and Miller Lite. She was certainly a “momma’s girl” and never passed up the opportunity to side with the underdog. She loved food, especially late-night sandwiches and she somehow managed never to gain a pound. People gravitated to her and her Red River country drawl was not soon forgotten by those who heard it. While she loved being at home, what she loved most was her family and she always embraced the opportunity to be with them. Robin is preceded in death by her mother and leaves behind her loving husband Victor Marks of Irving; daughters Melissa Tucker of Richardson; Samantha Ferguson and partner Renee Mims of Richardson; Cari Marks and partner Sara Russell of Carrollton; sons Chris Marks & wife Sabrina of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Brian Marks and wife Angela of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren Taylor, Tanner, Denver, Aniston Marks & Kaitlyn Scwab; father Paul Hammer of Clarksville, Texas; brother Tim Hammer and wife Erin of Killeen, Texas and numerous other nieces, nephews and devoted family and loving friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
