Obituary for Richard Brian Lawler

Richard Brian Lawler lost his battle with Leukemia at 66 years of age on Thursday, March 19, 2020. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Jathrel and Thelma Jean Lawler on Monday, July 20, 1953. Richard was a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, which led to his entrepreneurship in the computer software development industry. He successfully started and ran his business CompuSoft, Inc. for 21 years, retiring 6 years ago. Richard enjoyed sports, and in his children’s younger years would coach son Aaron’s baseball teams. His pride and joy were his family, but to him being Gran Gran to his precious and beloved grandson Drew topped everything. Richard loved the Lord and spent much of his time in the scriptures. He lived to act as the hands and feet of Jesus wherever he went by helping and encouraging others in their time of need. In memory of Richard, the family request in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice or by lending a helping hand to someone in need.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Carol Lawler of Irving, TX, son Aaron Lawler of Chicago, IL, daughter Meredith Lee and husband Aaron of Pflugerville, TX, sister Sheryl Houston and husband Lance of Scurry, TX, grandson Drew Lawler as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
