Obituary

Richard Brian Lawler lost his battle with Leukemia at 66 years of age on Thursday, March 19, 2020. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Jathrel and Thelma Jean Lawler on Monday, July 20, 1953. Richard was a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, which led to his entrepreneurship in the computer software development industry. He successfully started and ran his business CompuSoft, Inc. for 21 years, retiring 6 years ago. Richard enjoyed sports, and in his children’s younger years would coach son Aaron’s baseball teams. His pride and joy were his family, but to him being Gran Gran to his precious and beloved grandson Drew topped everything. Richard loved the Lord and spent much of his time in the scriptures. He lived to act as the hands and feet of Jesus wherever he went by helping and encouraging others in their time of need. In memory of Richard, the family request in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice or by lending a helping hand to someone in need.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Carol Lawler of Irving, TX, son Aaron Lawler of Chicago, IL, daughter Meredith Lee and husband Aaron of Pflugerville, TX, sister Sheryl Houston and husband Lance of Scurry, TX, grandson Drew Lawler as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Love you Carol, Aaron, Meredith, and Drew,
I will forever miss Richard as an important part of my life since boy scout days, and on through many enjoyable life events, at South Delaware , South Mac, Christ Church, travels, baseball coaching and watching, bible studies, etc. etc.

I was very fortunate to have known and loved him as a friend, and hoped to continue life events with him, but now pray that God will give you all comfort knowing he no longer suffers the trials of this world, but rests in the hands of our Lord.

Clay

Our ❤️‘s are sadden for your greatest of loss. We have no doubt that Richard is standing before our Lord with his arms lifted high in praise! The first glimpse ever of Richard was during worship time at the Winnsboro Church of Christ with his arms and hands lifted high and voice singing praises to his Heavenly Father! What a picture of his great love and devotion! At the ‘Midnight Cry’ Jesus will come again and we will all join Gran Gran in this heavenly praise for eternity! Grace and peace be with each of you. David and Michelle Edwards, Winnsboro, Texas
