Obituary

Milton Kindrick passed away peacefully November 25, 2020, in Irving, Texas. He was born November 23, 1943, in Oklahoma City to parents Elmer and Jessie Kindrick. Milton joined the United States Air Force at the young age of 19 and proudly served our country from 1962 – 1966. He was stationed in Dayton, Ohio, guarding air crafts on base during all types of weather. After leaving the Air Force, Milton moved to Dayton, Ohio, where he started his career as an insurance salesman with American General Insurance Company, retiring in 2016. He was often described by many as a quiet and gentle man who was hard working and always did whatever he could to provide for his family. Milton enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, visiting new places. His hobbies included watching westerns, reading the daily newspaper, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers play. Milton was a loving father who loved cracking jokes and making everyone smile and laugh.

Milton is preceded in death by his father in 2005, Elmer Lewis Kindrick; his mother in 2017, Jessie Ellen Kindrick; brother in 2013, Elmer Lee Kindrick; and sister in 2019, Doris Ellen Tomacelli. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Karen Kay Meyer, and husband Dennis; son, Lewis John Kindrick; grandchildren: Aiden Meyer, and Alea Meyer; brother, William Ray Kindrick; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Milton dearly.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2020, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving, TX 75061. A Committal service with Military Honors will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75211.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations in Milton’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
