Obituary

Obituary for Michael Gary French

“not all who WANDER are lost” Michael “Mike” French

Michael French died peacefully in his home of 25 plus years located in Irving, Texas. Mike was
born in Garden City, Michigan, on September 20, 1952. He was musically gifted, and never stopped growing as an artist. He was raised in the heart of the automotive industry, going to work with dad…. he would wander through the facility watching the automotive repair, auto body workers and the interaction between the business and customers. He knew his way inside and out of an automobile from a very young age. Upon graduating in 1972, from South Lyon High School, he started a family. His skills grew in both the auto and music industries. Family was everything to Mike, he was always keeping up with his two older brothers, Tom and Doug, and looking after little sister, Janene. He especially loved his one and only daughter, Shannon. Mike followed his brother Doug in 1982 to Dallas/Fort Worth… where he later married Tina, and they settled into their home, in Irving. Mike worked for Sewell Motor Co. for many years. Mike was known and loved in his community, he was known by many who met him through his “walks” where he was known to find and collect treasures!! While on a mission to share the gospel along the way. He was a kindhearted man, he loved animals, and was extremely patient with children. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He will surely be remembered as a “Gentle Giant” and ….as one of the “Friendly Frenches”. It is apparent to all who were around him that MUSIC & FAMILY were his 2 MOST inspired passions. He is survived by Shannon and her husband, Michael. His two grandchildren, Bailey, and Camden Price; whom he was extremely proud of. He was also a wonderful stepfather to Kavon & Amir. He also loved being a grandparent to Cassidy, Tyler, Bodie, Lauren and Elena. He was a wonderful uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed.

He was reunited in Heaven, with his brother Doug, and his parents, Stanley and Ruth French.

I Can Only Imagine …… Mike is surely playing beautiful music with the Angels, receiving all the answers… to his endless curiosity, and in a place where pain and suffering are no more!
