Obituary

Melanie Dawne Robertson

Melanie’s story began in McKeesport, PA, the only daughter of Margaret
Anderson Butler and Victor R. Feole, Sr., adopted by Robert J. Fogarty, Sr. As a young
child she moved to Dallas, Texas and then married, John P. Conaway and began her
family with daughters Dawna Conaway Sandidge and Sherryl Conaway Finley. She was
later married to Lee L. Robertson. Melanie also had lifelong best friends Johnnie and
Michael Philpot, who blessed her with two goddaughters whom she loved and claimed as
her own children, Wendi Philpot Hearrell and Jamie Philpot Crawford.
Melanie cherished each of her grandchildren which includes Kobie, Johnathan,
Nicole, Laura, Shyann, Skylei, Kensi, Ellie, Maggie, Victoria and Nyomi; and great grandson
Kayson.

Melanie had many siblings, and is survived by half-brothers Robert J. Fogarty II,
Shawn Fogarty, half-sisters Dawn Feole Mcnamara, Susan Feole Caruso and Cheryl
Feole Wylie; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in
death by her parents, her loving husband Lee Robertson half-brothers Donal Reeves and
Victor Feole Jr.; half-sister Christine Feole; god-daughter Wendi Philpot Hearrell;
grandson Kobie Sandidge; grand-daughters Laura Post and Victoria Butler.
Melanie loved to be around people. She was a bartender for several different
American Legions for over the course of 15 years and then began another 15 year career
in the Telephone Book Delivery industry. She loved being with her family most of all and
enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing games, visiting the casino’s, and working on genealogy.
She was a very kindhearted and fun-loving person and will be deeply missed by all who
knew her.
