Eloise Tarver, beloved wife, sister and aunt, passed away Sunday November 15, 2020 in her home at the age of 84.

A multi-talented lady who had a heart of gold, Eloise was born Mary Eloise Farrell in Van Buren, AR on January 26, 1936 to parents James and Vivian Farrell. At a young age, her family moved to Texas where she grew up. She met the love of her life Joe Tarver in Irving at First Baptist in a training union class. After dating for 3 years, they were married on April 7, 1954. Early in their marriage, she worked several jobs in bookkeeping and accounting before staying home and taking care of their antique business. She and Joe enjoyed traveling to antique auctions, buying, refinishing and selling furniture through their business. Eloise had a great passion and talent for bowling. She won many leagues and had a high game of 279. She was also a talented seamstress, able to tailor and make all types of clothing. Another amazing skill was her beautician talent for both hair and makeup. She also loved completing the daily New York Times crossword puzzles. Her biggest love after Joe was her family. She always made time for nephews and nieces, playing games, teaching them to bowl and loving them as her own. Eloise battled Alzheimer’s for nearly 7 years supported by Joe and her family. Eloise was preceded in death by parents James and Vivian Farrell, brother William Farrell & brother Eugene Farrell. Eloise is survived by her husband Joe, sister Kathleen Guevara & husband Tony, her brother Robert Farrell and numerous nephews and nieces, great nephews & nieces, great, great niece and many other family and friends whom she loved dearly. Eloise died peacefully with Joe by her side Sunday evening. The family has requested memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation be in her name by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
