Obituary for Mary Darby

Mary Darby, affectionally known by her family as Sister, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 88 years of age. She was born in Dallas, Texas to R.H. and Rosalie (Edison) Stanford on Sunday, May 24, 1931. Mary who had been a previous resident of Irving for 25 years, had also lived in Southlake for 25 years before making Keller her home for the last 30 years. In 1991, she retired after having worked for 10 years as a secretary at Rockwell Collins, and in her spare time she enjoyed painting, cross stitching, and camping, but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers; and grandson Preston Boyer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years Marvin Garth Darby; daughter Donna Foshee and husband Jimmy; daughter Connie Boyer and husband Mark; son Michael Darby and wife Darla; grandson Austin Fain; granddaughter Elizabeth Heckert and husband Adam; grandson Brandon Boyer and wife Bre; granddaughter Jessica Perry; granddaughter Kellus Eudy and husband Weston; 3 great grandchildren, Xandi Heckert, Ava Perry and Arden Perry as well as numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends between 6:00pm and 8:00pm, on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd in Irving. A graveside viewing at 12:30pm and memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving, TX 75060.
