Margie Maynard touched the many lives of her family with her love and devotion to them. She was born July 29th, 1932, in Van Zandt County to Burl and Maggie Smith. She married her husband, J.W. Maynard in 1950 and together they raised their two sons and daughter. Margie adored her family gatherings where she cooked and cared for anyone who walked into her home. She held a vital role in the upbringing of her grandchildren, and later, great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Billie. She is survived and dearly missed by her son John and wife Tonie Maynard of Houston, her son Sam Maynard of Irving, and daughter Susan Addy of Bedford; grandchildren Brandon and wife Melissa, Ryan, Matthew and wife Ana Paula, Aubrey and husband Chad, Mark, Kelley and husband Louis, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Erin, Connor, Emma, Caroline, Hayden, Joshua, and Lily. Margie lived a great life in which she left a tremendous mark upon her family and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm, June 6, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Concord Cemetery, FM Road 2010 in Chandler, TX.
