Obituary

Lewis Franklin Brown, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, the 7th of May 2020. Lewis was one of five children born to Stella and Howard Brown on the 6th of September 1946. Together, with his brothers and sisters, he grew up in Irving, Texas. As an adult, he lived and worked in Kemp, Texas. Respected and admired by all who knew him, he was everyone’s favorite person and the heart of our family. He was gentle and spirited with a grand sense of humor. Laughter was always part of spending time with him. When you think of Lewis Brown, you think of family, pride, “The Farm”, and love. He was a great outdoorsman with a passion for big fun: fishing, froggin’, camping and floating the river; and he was always game for a good hunt. His imprint will forever be a part of us. And... “How ‘bout them Cowboys?!” He had a true love for America’s Team! Lewis’ greatest joy in life was family.

Preceded in death by his parents Stella and Howard Brown, youngest brother, Teddy, nephew, Clint, and brother in law, Andy. Lewis is survived by his daughter, Kristi King and her husband, Rick, his son, Brad Brown, and his adored granddaughters Kaylea and Kenzie King. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Todesco, brother, Clarence Brown and his wife, Vicki, sister, Beverly Penn and her husband, Philip, sister in law Linda Brown, along with seven nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be laid to rest with his family who have predeceased him at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, TX.
