Obituary for Judith "Judi" Ann Greer (Shinault)

Judith “Judi” Ann Greer, age 72, died on Friday, June 14, 2019. Judi was born on January 1, 1947 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Velma Izella (Jackson) Shinault and Eldon LaVern Shinault. Judi had received her master’s degree and worked as an Educational Diagnostician for many years. She invested much of her time in children with autism. Judi adored her dogs “Tyler” and “Oliver”. She was a resident of Irving for thirty years. She possessed a unique sneeze; people knew it was hers right away. It was not uncommon for her to walk up to short ladies to see who was taller. She had ticklish knees. Judi had a great big personality, made up of a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. As a redhead she acquired a bit of orneriness and her kiddos knew to follow her instruction. She had a strong love for the Lord and was faithful in her Christian walk. She adored her husband of over forty-nine years, and she put up with him since the 9th grade. Judi was a member of Gateway Church and was a true servant to those around her. Judi is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry Shinault and welcomed in her death by her granddaughter Moriah. Left to cherish her memory are her spouse James Greer; daughter Holly Good and husband Brad; son Shane Greer and wife Misty; grandchildren Courtney Capra, Gatlin Capra, Madison Greer, Noah Greer, Coby Good, Rylan Good, Dee Toliver; great grandchild Mazie Toliver; eight nieces and nephews as well as numerous other family and loving friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Community Bible Church at 2301 Texas Drive in Irving.
