Jose loved traveling and found great pleasure in his career as a truck driver. He was the designated family handyman and enjoyed fixing or building things around the house or for those he loved. Jose also helped with jobs around his church, including using his expertise in electrical work. He worked as an electrician all over the metroplex, including TCU in Fort Worth. Jose was a long-time member of the Church of the Living God. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. Jose is preceded in death by his father. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of twenty-five years, Maria Benitez; mother Teresa de Jesus Benitez; children Cindi Benitez, Jessi Benitez, Jose Jacob Benitez, Diana Benitez; grandchildren Andrew Benitez, Kaden Benitez; brothers Alfonso Benitez and wife Anita, Thomas Benitez and wife Mirna, Jose M.
