John “Jack” Deardorff, age 92, died on Thursday, November 7, 2019. John was born on October 4, 1927 in Alma, Michigan to James C. Deardorff and Agnes H. (Myers) Deardorff. Jack proudly served his country in the Korean war as a member of the United States Army. Jack spent his working years as an engineer with Redman Industries, retiring after forty years of diligent service. Jack is preceded in death by his parents; brother James Deardorff; sister Lois Tyler; daughter in law Trish Deardorff; and grandson Christian Vines. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty-six years Shirley Deardorff; sons Richard Deardorff, John Deardorff and wife Katherine Lynn; daughters Mary Cox and husband David, Becky Warner and husband Darren; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family members and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice in Jack’s name.
