Obituary

Joevani De La Pena, left this world and an empty spot in the hearts of those who knew him on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at the young age of 8. He was born in Irving, Texas to Jose Antonio De La Pena and Tisha Lisa Sanchez on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Joevani was a sweet, very curious young boy, who was loved by everyone he met, and his outgoing and bubbly personality was one that filled the room when he walked in. He was a great artist, and loved to draw, liked horses, enjoyed spending time with his family and like most young boys, he liked his video games. Joevani, a lovable young boy, gone from our lives but never from our hearts. Left to cherish his memory and the small time they had with him are his father Joe De La Pena; grandma Dora Felan; grandma Iris Santiago; grandpa Martir Garcia; aunt Maria Garcia; uncle Jesse Felan; aunt Francie Dennett along with numerous extended loving family and friends. To help the family with funeral and other expenses, the family has started a fundraiser, and thank you for any and all support, To donate click here

My heart was caught when I read you lost your precious son Joevani and I wanted to send my warmest condolences to the family. To lose such a beautiful child, a part of you, can bring such overwhelming grief and our words may not help but our Creator who tells us he saw Joevani before anyone did and assures us at Acts 24:15 that you can look forward to having your son in your arms once again without the pain we see today. Until God’s promises come true may every good thought, every memory of the love you felt, flood and overtake you with calm and peace to help you through the dark moments. So very sorry for the tragic loss of your precious little grandson. I wish to share some very comforting words from the Bible found at John 5:28,29:" Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, " Revelation 21:3-5.: " With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore, the former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
These verses show that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, and eliminate all causes of suffering, including sickness, pain & death. Knowing this can bring a measure of comfort. May these thoughts from the Bible comfort your family and ease some of your great pain during this most difficult time .
