Jesus “Jesse” Paz Martinez, age 64, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. He was born on Friday, November 25, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas to Federico Martinez and Victoria Paza. Jesse proudly served in the United States Army, where he served at the Pentagon, was an active participant of Operation Desert Shield, Desert Strom as well as southeast Asia. He retired proudly from the U.S. Army as Sergeant. Jesse was an outdoorsman who enjoyed the coast and was a known for his love of fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. After he service in the military, Jesse worked and retired as a maintenance man for an apartment complex. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Cynthia; son JJ Martinez, Jr.; son Jacob Martinez; son Matthew Wills and wife Christine; granddaughters Maddison and Caitlya Wills; brother Mark Martinez; brother Fredrico Martinez; sister Lupe Martinez Rodriguez; sister Oralia Rewes, as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, friends and Army buddies, all who have kept in touch.
