Obituary for Jesse Pena Sr.

Jesse Pena Sr. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 50 years of age. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Lydia Fernandez and Jesus A. Pena on Friday, November 28, 1969. Jesse was a graduate of Sunset Highschool, class of “88”, a member of the Elks Lodge in Irving and the business owner of Texas Construction Services which he created in 2010. To know him was to love him, his family and friends will never forget his bright and funny personality as well as his generous and selfless heart. Jesse was always thinking of others and would be the first person ready to help anyone if he knew they needed it. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his brother Jose Miranda. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Kristi Weaver Pena; son Jesse Pena, Jr. and wife Christina; daughter Erica Renee Kaye and husband David; son Joseph “JoJo” Ryan Pena and fiancé Gina Biasi; daughter Brittani Nicole Hart and husband Chandler; son Lance Kristian Rose and fiancé Autumn Sanford; 5 grandchildren, Bethany Wilson, Legend Rose, Easton Hart, Jonah Kaye and Remington Hart; father Jesus Pena and wife Sylvia; mother Lydia Fernandez; 7 sisters, Veronica Torrez, Elizabeth Miranda, Angelina Martinez, Carla Pena, Vanessa Valdez, Maggie Flores and Josie Reddoch along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and loving friends. A private family viewing will be held at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held 12:00pm, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Oakview Baptist Church, 1004 S. Story in Irving with interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens immediately following.
