Jerry ‘JC” Bell, age 80, died peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born in Sherman, Texas to Raymond Emanuel and Wilma Ellen (Nottingham) Bell on Friday, September 9, 1938. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, which included fishing, camping, cooking and or smoking on the BBQ, especially brisket. He was a Texas man through and through, dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys and The Rangers, never missing a game if he could help it. Jerry was a former member of the Irving Elks Lodge #2334. He will lovingly be remembered for being a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa, who’s favorite times where when he would have cookies with his beloved granddaughters. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Wilma Bell, brothers Cecil and Ray Bell, sister Mona Holt and son Stephan Bell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Lorene Bell; son Michael J. Bell and wife Twylla; daughter Dee Anna (Rocky) Robinson and husband Aaron; daughter Tammy Oursler; son Jeff Oursler; son Jerry Jr. Oursler; granddaughters Haley Bell and Ruby Robinson; brother Mike Bell and wife Nancy; sister Frances Young along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends between 10:00am and 12:00pm, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd in Irving.
