Obituary for Jackie Mae Rexroat (Wimberley)

Jackie Wimberley Rexroat, age 87, after a long and beautiful life, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Jackie was born on April 16 ,1932 in Strawn, Texas to Moody Morris Wimberley and Bessie (Bell) Wimberley. Jackie was gentle giant of the faith and had a strong personal relationship with the Lord. She was a prayer warrior to many and loved by all that knew her. She cherished her time with her family and made every effort to be with them as much as possible. She enjoyed going to family reunions and spending time with her girls while traveling to and from. She collected bells and had a love for the American Indian heritage. Jackie was a long-time member of Celebration Worship Center, where she was rebaptized just a few short years ago when she wanted to rededicate her life to The Lord. Jackie has been reunited in glory with her son Troy Lee Rexroat; sister Eddie Marie Cook; brothers Jessie Wimberley, Paul Wimberley, and Clark Wimberley. Left to cherish her memory and live in her legacy are daughters Nadine Heflin, Margaret Rexroat, and Linda Haynes; siblings Frankie Leach, Troy Wimberly, and Ruth Atkins; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 15, 2019 at the funeral home with an interment at 2:00 pm in Gordon, Texas at New Gordon Cemetery.
