Obituary for Frances Harkins Lambright

Frances Harkins Lambright passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 86 years of age. She was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to Thomas and Margaret (Brown) Harkins on Saturday, June 17, 1933. She graduated, in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Sacred Heart Dominican College, St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, in Houston, TX. She was most proud of her 64 years working as a nurse. She and her mother worked together as nurses at the Montgomery County Hospital in Conroe, TX, upon her graduation. This is where Walter, her future husband, inquired about the beautiful nurse that was working in the hospital. They soon married and settled in Irving, TX. She would go on to work at the original Irving Community Hospital until entering private duty nursing. After many years as a private duty nurse, she worked as the occupational nurse onsite at the IRS building located at 4050 Alpha Rd for 19 years. She was a devoted Catholic that attended mass at Christ the King, Church of the Incarnation at the University of Dallas, and Holy Family of Irving. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and natural born caretaker, and lives on in the hearts of all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 55 years, Walter T. Lambright of Irving; daughter Catherine Weber of Austin; daughter Carolyn Doss and husband Todd of Austin; grandson Cole Doss of Austin; granddaughter Caroline Doss of Austin as well as numerous extended loving family and friends. Frances will be laid to rest at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas
