Dong was my good friend from medical school and we stayed in touch in the years afterwards. Dong was one of the easiest people to be around that I have ever met. He was incredibly loyal and always interested in what you had to say...a rare trait among us males. As parents and siblings, you guys should be proud of the man Dong was because he is a reflection of your family. I will miss him dearly and my life is better because Dong was in it.

My deepest condolences to the Ha Family... Dong was a wonderful person and faithful friend. He was kind, gentle, humble, patient, loving, enduring, and always positive. He encouraged others and prayed for them in their struggles. He listened well and loved well. He was a blessing to me in ways that I cannot express. Every Saturday for 9 years, we talked after cycle class until he stopped attending in 2018. His absence was noticed by many, and I updated them on Dong's status whenever they asked. I am a better person because of my friendship with Dong. May his memory live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
(Attached is a photo taken at Mason & Dixie in Grapevine, TX. He came in for coffee and a cookie while I was working a temporary job as a waitress in 2018.)

Sympathy and prayers for Dong's family. May your memories of Dong make you smile through the grief of his loss. I had the pleasure of Dong's presence in my English class at Lewisville High back in the late 80's. A great kid with a memorable smile and sense of humor, who became a courageous man, fighting cancer for so long.

I met Dong in undergrad and had the good fortune to also go to medical school with him @ UTMB. He was a great friend and I consider myself very lucky to have been able to experience many wonderful times and memories with Dong. He will be sorely missed. His amazing attitude, resilience, faith and friendship is something that I will always cherish.
