Dale Naylor of Irving passed away September 2, 2019. Dale was born on July 3, 1930 in Portis, Kansas to George Ellis Naylor and Jennie Lucille (Limbocker) Naylor. Dale will be remembered as a very generous man who cared for others. Although he had a temper at times; he possessed a great sense of humor and people loved working for him. He loved animals but was generally hard on squirrels. Dale enjoyed traveling and meeting with his RV club. He had a passion for trains and spent some time working for the Santa Fe Railroad. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army prior to working as a Comptroller in the Oil Industry. Two things Dale really lived for were washing cars and pouring concrete. He was a loyal and fiercely devoted husband and was a wonderful father who set strong examples for his family. Dale adored his family and his influence will likely ripple out a good distance. He was a member of The First Christian Church in Irving. Dale is preceded in death by his parents and twin sister Darlene Bee. He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife Leta “Reta” Naylor of Irving; daughter Linda Morgan and husband Joe of Irving; son Ted Naylor and wife Judy of Eagle, Nebraska and numerous other loving family and devoted friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at First Christian Church, 114 West Grauwyler Road in Irving. Inurnment with Military honors to be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas. Memorial donations in Dale’s honor may be made to the First Christian Church in Irving or an animal rescue of your choice.

My sincere condolences to Leta and the family. I had the pleasure of working as a secretary for Dale in the Production Accounting area of Conoco in Ponca City for several years. I enjoyed working with him very much.

Leta and family, my heart is heavy from the news about Dale. Although he was a few years older, we kind of grew up together at Conoco and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to work with Dale. He was extremely well thought of by everyone he worked with and contributed significantly to our Company. He brought wisdom and guidance and imparted those is a way that was uniquely Dale, with humor and always a smile but with a "get-it-done right" resolve. Dale was a good friend and I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to know and work with him for many years. God Bless!

I had the pleasure of working for Dale very early in my Conoco career in 1972 and clearly remember him as one of the nicest and most capable gentlemen I ever had the pleasure to know. I'm sure he will be missed and my sincere condolences to his family.
