Obituary for Consuelo "Chelo" Villalobos (Ramirez)

Consuelo “Chelo” Villalobos, entered the gates of Heaven at the age of 87, on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Pedro and Juanita (Olivares) Ramirez on Tuesday, March 15, 1932. Chelo was the matriarch of the family, and always had an amazing way of keeping a family of 9 together during holidays and in life in general. Having survived typhoid fever, back then a terminal illness, as a child, Chelo’s healing was a miracle that carried her on into her adulthood and provided the strength that made her the boss of the family until the end. On March 20, 2007, she proudly became an American Citizen. Her family lovingly reminisce how the kitchen was the center of Chelo’s home, how she enjoyed cooking and baking for family events and that her secret recipes made all of her dishes delicious and special. She was a faithful Apostolic woman, baptized in Jesus name. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years Guadalupe Villalobos, brother Jose Ramirez and sister Guillermina Segovia. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Elizabeth Santos and husband Hector; son Ernesto Villalobos; son Jorge Luis Villalobos and wife Lili; son Santos Villalobos and wife Marisol; son Javier Villalobos and wife Monica; son Rafael Villalobos and wife Sara; daughter Letty Rojas and husband Jose Juan; daughter Diana Villalobos and husband Eliseo Martin del Campo; son Danny Villalobos and wife Elisa; grandchildren Misael, Verenice, Hector Jr., Ernie, George, Tiffany, Zack, Abraham M., Ismael M., Ricardo, Daisy, Rodrigo, Santos Jr., Jorge Luis Jr. Esteban, Grace, Joseph, Alejandro, Melodie, Rafael Jr., Abraham, Adrian, Abigail, Adriana, Elissa, Hannah, Jeremiah, and Mark; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother Eliezer Ramirez; sister Angelica Ramirez along with numerous extended family and friends.
