Obituary for Charles "Chuck" Gibbs

Charles Gibbs of Irving passed away October 7, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 7, 1941 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Alfred Gibbs & Florence Ingrid (Buckles) Gibbs. Charles was affectionately known as “Chuck” to his family & friends. Chuck was raised in Wisconsin in a farming family and spent his days loading hay, driving tractors and taking care of the animals. His parents had to keep an eye on him all the time otherwise he would wind up at the top of the windmill or in a thistle patch. Chuck was known as a man of strong faith who had a real hunger for the Scripture and a passion for service. He shared his faith at Berean Memorial Church in Irving where he taught Sunday School. Chuck served his country in The United States Air Force. He will be remembered as a servant to his faith, family and friends. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents and leaves behind to cherish his memory wife Charlotte of Irving; daughter Sarah Treuer and husband Edward of Appleton, Wisconsin; daughter Michelle Gibbs & son Al Gibbs both of Irving; Daughter-in-law Jodi Gibbs of Plano; grandson Bryce Gibbs and sister Janet Ranney of Lacrosse, Wisconsin and a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Berean Memorial Church at 1000 East Sixth Street, Irving, Texas 75060.
