Obituary for Carol Ann Donnelson (Fisher)

Carol Ann Donnelson (née Fisher) was born on August 21, 1943, to Marguerite and Wesley Fisher. As a middle child in a large family, she craved attention, which her considerable energy and personal charisma often achieved. She memorized Bible verses at Baptist Bible College and graduated with an associate’s degree in 1964. She married the love of her life in 1967.

Carol loved hot coffee, vanilla ice cream cones, tamales, fuzzy socks, warm blankets, birthdays, her red couch, pictures of the grandkids, performing skits, singing, dancing the Stroll, waking up early, being around people, organizing things, walking her dog, collecting chickens, calling her children, moving furniture, writing letters, taking selfies, encouraging people, and being a pastor’s wife. She always wanted to learn the piano. She never owned anything that she wouldn’t give away to someone in need. A deeply emotional woman, love and joy defined her life. Carol was dearly loved by her husband Rev. Jim Donnelson, her children Daren and Carie, her grandchildren Taylor, Bennett, Josilyn Ables, and Oliver, and her beloved dog Pixie. She will be missed.

Carol passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, January 7 at 10:42 a.m. Her funeral will be noon ‪on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, ‬at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75061.
