Christine Holt a life-long resident of Irving passed away May 12, 2019. She was born on March 15, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to John Henry Brown and Pearl (Bratcher) Brown. She was a charter member of Berean Memorial Church in Irving. Christine worked for the Irving Independent School District for 27 years at Lively Elementary and Travis Junior High School before retiring in 1994. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilmer Holt, Sr.; son Gilmer Holt, Jr.; brothers John Brown, Benjamin F. Brown and sister Betty English. Christine leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters Joyce Wallace of Irving; Cindy Duncan and Jim of Irving; daughter-in-law Cyndi Holt of Cedar Hill, Texas; sister Janice Wagner of Irving; brothers Albert Brown of Palmer, Texas and Jackie Brown of Irving; sister-in-law, Jeanne Brown of Irving; grandchildren Jonathan Wallace of Roanoke, Texas; Justin Holt and Alathea of Dallas; Nicolas Wallace and Ashley of Keller, Texas; Jared Holt of Cedar Hill, Texas; Brian Wallace and Holly of Haltom City, Texas; and Joel Duncan of Cedar Hill, Texas; 13 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorial donations may be made in Christine’s honor to at Recorded Media Ministry at Berean Memorial Church
