Billie Ruth Ross, age 73, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Billie was born on November 13, 1945 in Irving, Texas to Willie Jimerson and Viola (Coln) Jimerson. Billie was a fun-loving, giving and very generous woman. She had a wonderful laugh that was contagious to others. She was a true living sacrifice as she raised three children after her husband passed. Billie enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She was talented at sewing and doing alterations out of her home. She loved her children and grandson Jaxson; they were her life. She would do anything for her kids. She was also a mother to many strays and her kids’ friends called her mom too. She was strong when she had to be, but you never doubted her love for you. She rarely ever complained. Instead she did what she had to do, working multiple jobs if necessary. Billie was devoted and a joy to be around. She retired after more than twenty years of service with the Irving Independent School District. Billie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe Ross, and son John (Tiny) Ross. Left to cherish her memory are son Joe Ross; daughter Kristie Ross; sisters Christeen Housholder and husband Richard, Linda Kiker; brother Willie Jimerson Jr. and wife Linda; aunt Christine Mclntosh; grandson Jaxson Ross; as well as numerous other loving family and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the funeral home, immediately followed by an interment at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
