Obituary for Bill King

Bill King, age 57, died suddenly during his battle with lymphoma cancer on Saturday, June 8, 2019. He was born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia to Albert Ray and Winnie Darlene (Pennington) King on Saturday, November 25, 1961. Bill was a family man, who loved his family especially his grandkids, whom he cherished. During his free time, he enjoyed playing poker, his favorite being Texas Holdem and he also enjoyed traveling, and had been on several cruises. Bill is what some would consider a “foodie”, who enjoyed grilling in the backyard, trying new food as well as going out to try new and different restaurants. He proudly served honorably in the National Guard Reserves. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, son Tommy King and brother Bob King. Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 9 years Margaret Hobbs; daughter Sheri Wallace and husband Wally; step son Roger Hinkle; grandchildren Allen, Brenna, Callum and Darlene; brother Doug King and wife Susie; sister Neta Colteaux and husband Gene; brother Roger King; sister in laws Lynda Hobbs and Leslie Russell; brother in law James Hobbs and wife Patricia along with numerous extended family and loving friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Vusirikala and her staff for their loving care given to Bill during his battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

A memorial service will be held at a later date, not yet set at this time.
