Betty Jane Dron was reunited with her husband Clarence (Chuck) J Dron, daughter, Paula K Taylor and other family and friends. Betty’s passing was on 19 March 2019 while her son was at bedside holding her hand. She was battling Alzheimer and Dementia which ultimately took her to the promise land. Betty was born to Bertha and Percy Brower on the 8th Day of December 1930 in Sparta, Wisconsin. She had 2 brothers and one sister and graduated at high school at her birth place. She met and married Clarence J Dron and they exchanged wedding vows on 12th of July, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Betty and Clarence had three children, 2 daughters, Paula Kay born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Toni Jeanette, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and 1 son, Parris Jay born in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by a very dear friend she called sister and her children grew up calling her Aunt Theresa Threlkeld, daughter Toni, son Parris and his wife Nikki Dron. Paula had 3 children Joshua, Misti and Micah, Toni had 1 daughter, Christa and Parris had 3 daughters, Sarah, Megan and Dennisha and 1 son Christopher. She had 9 great grandchildren, youngest to oldest; Bayleigh, Ryleigh, Ella, Carson, Dylan, Madison, Cole, Kyle and Alex and numerous others that called her mom. Betty along with Chuck started a Social Club in Irving, Texas named the Ball and Chain Club. She spent most of her life serving as a Church Secretary; her last two jobs were at Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas and she ended her secretarial career at First United Methodist Church, Irving, Texas. Betty was a devoted Christian who taught Sunday School, work with children and spreading the word. Betty’s final wish was that there should be only 1 Flower Arrangement and in lieu of flowers she would like donations on her behalf to be given to First United Methodist Church or Alzheimer Association; This association is the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer/Dementia research and is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments prevention and ultimately a cure or an donation can be made to Parris Dron which in turn will be given on her behalf to these organizations. Her viewing will be held Monday, 25 March from 5-7pm at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, Texas 75061. All are welcomed to a graveside service on Tuesday, 26 March at 10:30am, at Oak Grove Memorial Garden, 1413 East Irving Blvd., Irving, Texas 75060 where she will be laid to rest next to her daughter Paula.
