Alta Sue Wynne passed away peacefully August 13, 2020 at the age of 78. She was born to father T.A. Mussett and mother Winnie Mussett January 18, 1942 in Beeville, TX.

Sue was a proud co-founder of Dallas Carpet Binding with her son and worked for 32 years helping bring the business to the success it is today. She enjoyed going to work every day and visiting with customers who became friends.

She was a faithful member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church as well as guild leader and member.

Sue's list of favorites in her life were in this exact order 1. Jesus Christ and her church 2. Family and friends 3. Sugar and 4. Vacations

Sue always put her family and children first. Always providing guidance, help, support, love, and time. Her favorite time of year was Christmas as it brought the family together and lots of treats with sugar. Sue loved to travel, especially taking cruises. Sue was a devote Catholic and loved her church and church members. Sue loved cooking desserts for all to enjoy whether it was a special occasion or just to try out a recipe. She loved enjoying a Hi-Tea. Whether it was putting on a Hi-Tea for her granddaughters wedding shower, someone’s birthday or traveling to British Columbia to enjoy one like the queen she was. Sue was a "second" mom to many people because of her compassion, forgiveness but mostly her love.

Catholic Memorial Mass: 11:00a.m, Thursday August 27, 2020 Holy Family of Nazareth 2323 Cheyenne St. Irving TX, 75062. Open to the public, social distancing and masks are required.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.

Sue was a special woman and mom. She was my 2nd mom when I was growing up just down the alley. I spent many days and nights at the Wynne house. She drove us to school everyday in that orange Pinto! She took me to my first Star Wars movie (and many more). Her laugh was infectious so much so that I can still remember it today. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but I know she is in heaven praising Jesus! I pray for the family in this time of great loss. I love you guys! Jana and Rodney Tate

What a great obit! Sugar, made me laugh and Sue would love that. I never saw her or spoke to her that she wasn't having a good day. Such a beautiful soul with a great laugh. I will miss our chats and the good times we had when she came for a visit.
And now every time I say SUGAR I will think of her! Love you sweet Sue, you my friend will be missed!! Love all you kids and I am so very sorry for your loss.

In the almost 60 years that I’ve known Sue, she has retained her position as one of the prettiest and sweetest people I’ve known. I remember looking up to her (yes, I was even shorter than her back then) at her wedding, thinking she was just gorgeous. What a role model she was for being calm and getting things done. While the task of living our lives meant I did not stay connected to her as we got older, some lessons she taught just by the way she was and how she did things. She sacrificed without being a martyr, contributed without asking for acknowledgement and always kept perspective on what is most important in life. Her faith was strong enough for many of us and I believe she will continue to keep her beloved family, and even us old friends, in her ongoing prayers. Thank you, sweet Sue.
