Alice Mae Burton, age 76, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Alice was born on August 8, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to Sam Bruton and Clara Catherine Mitchell. Alice was a family oriented and loving woman. Her neighbors remember her as being a very sweet lady. She loved shopping, enjoyed and cared for cats, and was helpful when she was able. Alice had a sharp mind and was good with numbers, working as a book keeper in accounting for many years. Alice possessed a very pointed sense of humor and was an avid reader. She spent much of her time to herself in the last several years of her life. Alice is preceded in death by her parents and sister Gayle Holt. Left to cherish her memory are brother Everett Longley and good friend Brenda Weaver, nephews Joshua Alford and wife Rachael, Bradley Holt; niece Brandi Holt; as well as numerous other extended family and friends. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point, TX.
